November 28, 2016 12:03 p.m. – Federal and local investigators on scene have confirmed victims were stabbed or hit by a car. This finding was based on evidence, witness testimony, and other information they collected. Investigators have not confirmed any gun shot wounds. November 28, 2016 11:48 a.m. – OSU student Joseph Noel interviewed by WBNS was at the scene where the attack began. Noel stated that there were no gun shots from the beginning of the incident to the time he escaped. He went on to say that the reports of gun shots being fired were rumors. “I was right there, and there was no one shot,” said Noel. “But someone did run through a crowd of people with a car, I can tell you that.” This conflicts other reports that a gunshot or gunshots were heard. One remains in critical condition at the hospital. Seven are stable. One more is being treated on scene and may or may not be transported to the hospital. Confirmation is pending whether these individuals were directly involved in the attack. November 28, 2016 11:05 a.m. – The active shooter status remains for OSU. A number of roads leading to and from the campus have been closed. TRAFFIC: All exits from OH-315 to Ohio State's campus are closed. Eight victims have been transported from OSU to local hospitals. Seven are described in stable condition. One remains in critical condition. Law enforcement has confirmed that one suspect has been shot and killed. A second suspect remains at large, and the active shooter status remains. One suspect is described as a black male with short hair. The attack began when the suspects ran a red SUV a gray sedan through a group of students and into a building. One suspect exited the vehicle with a gun. The other exited with a knife. Both immediately began attacking student after exiting the vehicle. CORRECTION November 28, 11:40 a.m. : Numerous OSU student sources confirmed the car that ran into students and the building was NOT a red SUV. The car was a gray sedan. November 28, 2016 10:35 a.m. – The Ohio State University (OSU) emergency alert system warned of an active shooter on campus Monday morning. Everyone has been advised to seek shelter and remain there until otherwise told. A formal statement regarding the incident has not yet been made by State or local law enforcement.
